Sorting Our Selves is a book for anyone searching for meaning and purpose, and hopes to glimpse it through another’s life. It is ultimately an encouraging story about overcoming the obstacles in life when we pursue our dreams and goals, wherever we are in the world.

In her debut memoir, East-Timorese Chinese Australian psychologist and writer, Lidia Lae recounts her struggles as a graduate student pursuing her life’s dreams and her transformations along the way as she juggles motherhood and entrepreneurship. She shares candidly about her life lessons from around the world. Threaded through her self-narrative is her research exploring culture and self, memory, meaning and how we make sense of our lives as we form our identities across cultures.
