About Lidia

Lidia Lae, PhD, is a psychologist, author, consultant, and speaker whose work explores the intersection of identity, culture, and meaning. She is known for her culturally informed approach to personal and leadership development, helping individuals and organizations examine inherited narratives and consciously shape aligned direction.

Born in Timor-Leste, spending part of her formative years in Portugal, and now living in Australia, Lidia’s life has unfolded across cultural worlds. Her lived experience of migration, layered identity, and belonging deeply informs the frameworks and cultural perspectives she brings to her work. She approaches identity not as a fixed construct, but as a dynamic negotiation between culture and self.

Trained in psychology and drawing on narrative theory, semiotics, cross-cultural research, and lived experience, Lidia developed Life Framing, StoriCompass™, and CulturAlign™—structured approaches for translating insight into aligned action. Her frameworks integrate theory and practice, offering structured tools that help individuals and leadership teams reflect, realign, and shape intentional direction in complex cultural environments.

Through her writing, speaking, and consulting engagements, Lidia works globally with individuals and organizations navigating complexity and change. Her work supports the development of cultures grounded in shared meaning, values, and purpose.

She lives in Melbourne, Australia, with her family.
